My First NOTD Post

Ever since I became a mother, one of the  luxuries I pretty much dropped— almost, but close to cold turkey—was getting a manicure or pedicure.

My hands are constantly immersed in water (on the hour, every hour or less)—from washing dishes, washing clothes, washing floors, washing baby bottles to giving kids a bath—my hands literally hardly ever get a chance to swim up for air.

Which is why I HARDLY, if ever get a manicure done because my nail polish never lasts long enough to justify getting them all done up. I can’t even remember for the life of me, the last time someone gave me a manicure! Two, three years ago?…I’ve lost count! Now for pedicures, I haven’t completely neglected my feet. I try to get a pedicure done at least every 3 months to keep them from looking like prehistoric cavewoman feet.

Now that my two older kiddies are back-to-school, I have little pockets of time to myself (YAY!)—so today I ended up redeeming a salon gift certificate my husband gave me for a mani & pedi at a local salon. And because it was a special day for me, I decided to blog my very first NOTD post😊💅

Thanks for reading my blog 😊

How often do you get a mani/pedi?
