The Lipstick Tag

I was recently tagged by Sunny from Mia Bella Beautopia to do the Lipstick Tag (Sorry, it took me so long to get this tag done, Sunny!)

If you haven’t visited her blog yet, I suggest you do! She gives great makeup reviews, helpful & insightful tips and has a way of making me want to try everything she reviews!

Let’s get started!

1. How many lipsticks do you own?

Couldn’t tell you off the top of my head, so I will have to pause and go count them!…Ok, now that I have counted, I have approx. 34 lipsticks (some of them are stashed away in some purses I’m currently not using, so I’m too lazy to go searching for them)—NOT including all my lipglosses, lip stains and lip balms (that’s another story or post all together:)))

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?

All I remember was that it was a pink Revlon lipstick—my favorite aunt introduced me to the world of makeup when I was about 9 years old and I would constantly be in awe of her as I watched her apply her makeup, especially when it came to the lipstick part.

She only wore one particular Revlon red lipstick—which is called Fire & Ice (I happen to wear this shade mostly during spring/summer). Oh, yeah and by the way, my cool aunt is 78 yrs young and she is STILL rockin’ Revlon’s Fire & Ice—way to go, Auntie Paulette!!!

3. What is your favorite lipstick brand?

I am pretty loyal to two brands: MAC and Revlon.

4. What is your most worn lipstick?

Right now, I’m actually really crushing on my Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plum Velour.

I’m crazy for deep plummy berry lips and this one has a nice luminous, lightly glossy sheen to it. It also has a buildable transparent appearance so the natural lip color still comes through.

5. What is your favorite finish?

I tend to always reach for creamy, satiny finishes.

6. What was the last lipstick you bought?

It was actually my Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plum Velour. (I’ve banned myself from buying lipsticks for awhile just so I can get through some of my current ones—I’ve been really good, lately).

7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?

I have quite a collection in my purse—I currently have 6.

Reason being is because my ‘lipstick mood’ changes during the day. So sometimes I’ll be wearing a nude look in the morning and then by mid-afternoon, I’m in a plum berry-mood or it could be vice-versa.

8. What is your favorite red lip color?

M.A.C’s Ruby Woo!!

9. How do you store your lipsticks?

I store them in my MUJI acrylic storage units.

10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?

This could actually be documented on a separate post, hee, hee, hee. But for now, I’m currently lusting for: YSL Rouge Volupté (34) Rose Asarine, Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Pirate, Nars Lipstick in Heatwave, MAC Private Party Lipstick, Urban Decay Catfight Revolution Lipstick—-OMG, I can go on forever, but these are some of the few that have caught my eye and caused some feelings of lust:)))

Thank you again Sunny, for engaging me in this cute tag about my most favorite makeup product! I really had a fun time going through my collection and rediscovering my stash of lipsticks!

Now its my turn to TAG the following:

1. Silverkis’ World

2. Flabs Rule the World!

3. Stalking Beauty

4. Natzi’s Stash

5. Amriaa’s Blog

Have fun to you all! If you weren’t originally tagged, feel free to join in and have fun with the tag!

Thank you for reading my blog.😊

  1. Eheh, you’re welcome.
For some reason, I found it really cool and funny your aunt still wears makeup, lol. My mom’s 46 and I can’t talk her into wearing the most basic of things. -.-

  2. I love lipstick but very rarely do I ever wear it. I can’t seem to find a lipstick that 1. lasts through coffee-drinking, 2. has a good color, 3. doesn’t feel super dry and flaky, and 4. if it IS a long-wear, something that doesn’t take an act of congress to remove. So I stick to Carmex and every once in a while, a tinted gloss:)
