My e.l.f HD Blush Must-Haves

Image

I’ve always been a huge fan of liquid/cream blushes, not to mention of e.l.f products too—so when I found about about e.l.f’s HD blush, I was immediately entranced. So much so, I ended up with these 4 shades!

Elf’s description of the HD blushes:
“Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear. “

Packaging:
The blush comes in a tiny see through cylindrical pump bottle similar to the MUFE HD blushes. Although these HD blushes come in a really handy pump, and even though you can control the pump easily, it still dispenses a little too much product sometimes if you’re not light-handed with the pump.

So make sure NOT to use a whole pump…given how much you need, this will last you a very long time. Just one slight little 1/4 of a pump will do for both cheeks!

Colors I have so far:

Superstar: is a medium coral pink.

Diva: is a bright medium pink.

Encore: is a sort of warm toned fuchsia pink.

Showstopper: is a deep bugundy-purple toned berry.

Price:
Let’s face it—who wouldn’t be hyped about a $3 blush that has been consistently compared to Make Up For Ever‘s much more expensive version at $26! It’s crazy to me that they run for such a low price because for the quality, packaging, color pigmentation, these can easily go for way more than $3 so I think these are a steal.

Application:
The blushes are intensely pigmented and the formula is very concentrated so a little dot goes a very LONG way.
First off, I strongly suggest to shake it before u pump the product so the formula and the color will blend together.

My application tip would be to take a small pinhead sized drop on the back of your hand and blend a fibre brush into the blush on back of your hand.

I use e.l.f’s small stipple brush, but any stipple brush or even flat top kabuki will do.

Then proceed to apply using the brush to blend it on your cheekbones. This lightens the color considerably and allows for a smooth, airbrushed finish.

Lasting-power:
These have such good lasting power that it seems like it stains your cheeks. I’d say that these would last for about 5-7 hours but it really depends on what you are doing during the day, skin type and if you are using primer/ foundation with these.

Versatility:
I don’t just use it as a blush—it’s immensely versatile and a great little multi-tasker. Super pigmented and you can mix it into your lip glosses or apply it alone and use it as a lip tint or lip color too!

Would I recommend/repurchase?:
Amazing product for only $3 a pop, you don’t need much (I swear, my little collection will last me a lifetime!), the pigmentation is amazing, easy to blend and the final results are flawless and lasts for a good while!! And it also doubles as lip gloss/lip color! Without a doubt, I would wholeheartedly recommend this and repurchase!

Thank you for reading my blog.😊

Sound interesting? Have you tried these?

  1. Such pretty and bold colours! Will have to give these ago, liquid blush scares me a little if I’m honest!! haha! Thanks for sharing, Susan x

    • I actually just discovered e.l.f early this year at Winner’s. Now I just can’t stop using their products—except now, I purchase them online because the deals on their website are amazing!

    • It makes a HUGE difference! First I squeeze a pinhead amount on the back of my hand. Then I take my finger and spread it around on the back of my hand. The excess from my finger, I dab on my previously lip balmed lips. Then I take my stippling brush and stipple the product into the brush and then I apply to cheeks! Hope this helps, it’s my tried and true routine😉
